I have to admit that I have been in a bit of a gaming rut lately. There have been a few decent games released recently. However, I seem to play them for a few weeks then fall back to CS:GO, BF4, or even StarCraft. This fall, this will all change with the release of a few highly anticipated games. Star Wars Battlefront, Fallout 4, and Black Ops III are all set to come out this November. I wanted to write a quick preview of these games in case you were thinking about picking them up.

Star Wars Battlefront

Star Wars Battlefront is set to be released Nov 17, 2015. This game is being produced by DICE, the makers of the Battlefield series. If you like Star Wars and you liked the most recent game from DICE BF4, then this game should be right up your ally. The graphics for this game will be second to none and based on the user reviews from the alpha, the gameplay should be top-notch too. Like the Battlefield series, vehicles and aircraft will be usable in SW Battlefront as well.

If you are a PC user, one downside is that this game won’t offer dedicated servers. Many PC gamers prefer dedicated servers since they allow for a great communities to grow and flourish around gamer run servers.

Of the games on this list, this is the one I am most excited about. I went ahead and pre-ordered as it did provide a few perks.

Fallout 4

Fallout 4, like the other games on this list, is also scheduled to be released this November. For those who don’t know, Fallout is a RPG style game that is set in the future in a world destroyed by nuclear weapons. The games in the Fallout series give you a lot of freedom when it comes to exploring the world or completing the story line.

Based on the gameplay demos, the graphics look pretty stunning. In my opinion, exploring in Fallout 4 should be a blast. I am also excited to see how the story line plays out as well. I haven’t pre-ordered yet, however, this is a game I will pick up for sure.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the latest game in the COD series. It seems like there is new COD game every year at this point and Black Ops III is the next one to be released. The Black Ops series has been produced by Treyarch in conjunction with Activision.

To be honest, I used to be a huge COD fan. However, the last few games, Advanced Warfare and Black Ops II haven’t really impressed me.  In general, paying $60 for a new game every year that really hasn’t changed or improved much has started to annoy me a bit. Some will say that Advanced Warfare was a big change from the past. I agree that the exoskeletons added a new element to the game. Seeing everyone flying around got a bit old though. Also, I feel like the graphics and other important aspects of the game are falling behind with a new release every year. Based on the early gameplay videos and reviews I have read about Black Ops III, I am worried that it is another game in the series that hasn’t really improved on much.

All that being said, I won’t write this game off yet. I know many gamers who really enjoy the latest games in the COD series. I will see how the reviews play out and base my purchasing decision on them.
